If These Walls Could Talk!

History hangs heavy on the walls of the historic Tel Aviv-Jaffa train station, which was epicenter for commerce in the city from 1892 to 1948. Now it has a new role.

Following a 10-year restoration project, the 49-acre Tachana entertainment complex’s over 20 historic buildings – from the old train station and freight terminals to the 18^th century Arab-style Red House and German Templar Wielands’ family home – have new functions. The refurbished spaces will serve as event spaces, exhibition site, and location for festivals and outdoor markets. Restaurants, cafes and bars, retail stores, and art stops filled with creative output by Israeli and international designers are also in the museum lifestyle center.

Tachana is also the place to enjoy musical concerts, arts and crafts fairs, and a gathering place for tours of the Tel Aviv’s Bauhaus district.
